NEW YORK - The player Toronto FC Sebastian Giovinco was named the MVP of Major League Soccer on Wednesday.
He easily outpaced Kei Kamara, the Columbus Crew in the poll.
Giovinco, who scored 22 goals during the recent season, has got his hands on the trophy Landon Donovan. He succeeds Robbie Keane, the Los Angeles Galaxy, who had earned the honor in 2014.
The 28-year-old added 16 assists to his offensive output, helping Toronto FC to qualify for the MLS playoffs for the first time after nine years of existence.
In addition to the prizes awarded to the MVP, Giovinco also received for the 2015 season, as newcomer of the year and the "Golden Boot", which rewards the best scorer.
